Just about in Cambridgeshire this is a rather remote station, at a low point serving 13 customers in a year. Originally opening in July 1845 by the Eastern Counties Railway with their Cambridge extension. The new line opened with the Norwich to Brandon Railway for services to Norwich (although trains terminates at Trowse a short while for the swingbridge construction). The signal box leans quite a bit, hence the extension to shore it up! The bricked up windows in the mechanism room preventing possible bomb damage during the war. The level crossing is manned still although this will change with resignalling.
