Bronson Reed's first reign (2023)

When Rick Boogs made his return on Raw in January, he defeated The Miz in an impromptu match. This led to a feud between them while The Miz was alongside Bronson Redd. Miz claimed that Boogs had no one for him, but soon Dexter Lumis, who had feuded with Miz, allied with Boogs. At Elimination Chamber, Boggs and Lumis defeated Miz and Redd.

On the February 20 episode of Raw, Johnny Gargano won a contender match against Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin. After the match, Reed attacked Gargano, saying that the weakest and most despicable had won. The following week, Reed helped Nikki Cross defeat Candice LeRae, Gargano's wife, saying that she was just as despicable as he was. This prompted Gargano to attack Reed. On March 7, Gargano and LeRae defeated Reed and Cross. After the match, Gargano challenged Reed for the title at WrestleMania 39, which Reed accepted. The rivalry continued in the following weeks, where Reed came to attack LeRae on March 21 while Gargano defeated Baron Corbin, saying he would destroy Gargano in the same way.

Rick Boogs' first reign (2023–present)

On January 1, 2023, during Night 1 of WrestleMania 39, Johnny Gargano was attacked backstage by an unknown guitarist. Later, Candice LeRae, Gargano's wife, said that he could not compete for Bronson Reed's Championship. Rick Boogs then offered to challenge Reed for the title, promising Gargano a title match if he wins. After Gargano accepted, Rick Booges defeated Bronson Reed after a distraction from Gargano. After a few weeks with Boogs feuding with Reed who was being helped by The Miz, Gargano made his return at Backlash in a tag team match where he teamed up with Boggs to defeat Miz and Reed. Later, the rivalry expanded when Maryse attacked LeRae after LeRae's interference. At Money in the Bank, Boogs teamed with Gargano and LeRae in a mixed tag team match, where they lost when Maryse pinned LeRae. It was later revealed that Boggs had hired Drew Gulak to attack Gargano. Gargano then teamed up with Dexter Lumis and Dolph Ziggler to take on Boggs, Miz and Redd. This led to a six-pack challenge at SummerSlam, which Lumis won by pinning Ziggler.
