Bun B tem a sua carreira musical definitivamente ligada aos [[UGK]]., Duoduo que formou em [[1987]] com [[Pimp C]]. O primeiro registo discográfico de Bun B desponta já a [[1988]], quando os UGK lançaram ''The Southern Way'', o seu primeiro álbum. Não querendo entrar agora numa descrição da carreira do duo, terá o seu próprio espaço, iniciaremosinicia-se o relato no momento em que Pimp C é detido.
Com a prisão de Pimp C em [[2002]], Bun B sente a necessidade de se lançar numa carreira a solo. Antes, porém, foi colecionando colaborações com alguns dos maiores artistas do rap, mas não só. Colaborou com nomes como [[Slim Thug]], [[Juvenile (rapper)|Juvenile]], [[T.I.]], [[Young Buck]], [[Lil' Kim]], Yiang Yang Twins, [[Mike Jones]] e [[Paul Wall]], entre outros.
''Trill'', a aguardada estréiaestreia de Bun B a solo, foi lançado em meados de [[outubro]] de [[2005]] e atingiu o [[disco de ouro]].
