O virus pode permanecer por durante 12 horas numa superficie solida ou ate 12 dias em tecidos.Pode sobrevver meses e ate anos em agua contaminada com o virus.
Locais como hospitais,cruzeiros,acampamentos etc, são propícios em propagar este tipo de vírus.Para prevenir basta tomar cuidados com a higiene pessoal tal como lavar bem as mãos e manter os locais limpos .
E particularmente perigoso para idosos e bebes.
