O seguinte é uma lista de produtos, algumas notáveis, alguns menos assim, da International Business Machines (IBM) Corporation e o seu antecessor corporações, no início da década de 1890, e abrangendo um soco cartão de equipamentos, relógios, máquinas de escrever, computadores e muito mais.
Esta lista é eclética; inclui-se, por exemplo, o AN/FSQ-7, que não era um produto, no sentido de se oferecem para venda, mas era um produto, no sentido de fabricação—produzido pelo trabalho da IBM. Várias máquinas fabricadas para Astronômica, Departamento de Computação da Universidade de Columbia estão incluídos, assim como algumas máquinas de construção apenas como manifestações de tecnologia IBM. Faltam RPQs, OEM de produtos (semicondutores, por exemplo), e suprimentos (os cartões perfurados, por exemplo). Estes produtos e outros estão em falta, simplesmente porque ninguém adicionou-los.
A IBM, por vezes, utiliza o mesmo número para um sistema de e para o componente principal do sistema. Por exemplo, o IBM 604 Cálculo Unidade é um componente do IBM 604 Cálculo de Perfuração de cartão. E IBM diferente divisões utilizado o mesmo modelo números; por exemplo a IBM 01 sem dicas de contexto poderia ser uma referência a um keypunch ou da IBM primeira máquina de escrever elétrica.
Número de sequência podem não corresponder ao produto sequência de desenvolvimento. Por exemplo, a 402 tabulação foi uma melhoria, modernizado, 405.[1]
A IBM usa duas estruturas de nomenclaturas para os produtos de hardware modernos. Os produtos são normalmente três ou quatro dígitos do tipo de máquina e número de modelo (pode ser uma mistura de letras e números). Um produto também pode ter um departamento de marketing ou um nome de marca. Por exemplo, 2107 é o tipo de máquina para o IBM System Storage DS8000. Enquanto a maioria dos produtos estão listados aqui por tipo de máquina, há casos em que apenas um marketing ou nome da marca é usado. Deve ser tomado cuidado ao procurar por um determinado produto, como, por vezes, o tipo e os números de modelo de sobreposição. Por exemplo, o IBM produto de armazenamento conhecido como o Enterprise Storage Server é o tipo de máquina 2105, e a IBM produto de impressão conhecido como o IBM ® Infoprint ® 2105 é do tipo de máquina 2705, de modo a procurar um IBM 2105 pode resultar em dois produtos diferentes—ou o produto errado—de ser encontrado.
A IBM introduziu a coluna de 80 retangular perfurado cartão em 1928. Pré-1928 modelos de máquinas que continuou em produção com a nova coluna de 80 formato de cartão tinha o mesmo número de modelo, como antes. Máquinas fabricadas antes de 1928 foram, em alguns casos, equipado com coluna de 80 leitores de cartão e/ou socos , portanto, não existiam máquinas com pré-1928 datas de fabricação que contêm 1928 tecnologia.
