About me

I've been editing Wikipedia since 2013 as Samwalton9; my first contributions were largely to video game articles, and I later shifted focus to working on scientist biographies and administration tasks after becoming an English Wikipedia administrator in 2014. I have written close to 100 new articles on the English Wikipedia, in addition to contributing to other projects including Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource.

In 2015 I became involved with The Wikipedia Library coordinating metrics reporting on a volunteer basis. Between April 2016 and June 2018 I was a contractor as Partnerships Coordinator for the library, before converting to a full time Program Officer role in July 2018. From January 2020 I have been the Product Manager for the team in the Product department. In 2021 our team transitioned to work on the Moderator Tools project.

My work

I'm the Product Manager for The Wikipedia Library and Moderator Tools.

For The Wikipedia Library I support the team which enables free access to a library of reliable sources so that Wikipedia editors have the best sources available to them. On Moderator Tools we're currently working on tools and features editors need to keep our content reliable and trustworthy, particularly via the mobile web interface.
