Someone with an understanding of Portuguese copyright law and knowledge of previous court cases may want to add appropriate information to c:Commons:Threshold of originality for Portugal. Currently we have no information at all, which generally means Commons will assume the worst case scenario when looking at logos from Portugal. @DarwIn: thanks, looks like Portugal has a ruling similar to Italy for "simple photographs", except in Italy those are protected for 25 years and in Portugal not at all. Looks like PD-Portugal needs to be created on Commons to be used in combination with PD-1996. Alexis Jazz (discussão) 20h12min de 8 de agosto de 2018 (UTC)

@Alexis Jazz: I've created PD-Portugal-URAA that deals with the cases where it's certain that there's no copyright (almost all photos created before 1971). While according to the law it seems that simple photographs are still not granted a copyright, I never tried to use that on Commons because of the difficulty of establishing a limit between what is, and what is not a simple photo...-- Darwin ^Ahoy! 20h20min de 10 de agosto de 2018 (UTC)
