Axel Antunes is a Brazilian musician based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is best known as the founder and one of the members of The Tangerine Club, a band that originated from a live music channel on the Twitch platform. Prior to dedicating himself to The Tangerine Club, Antunes had a 15-year career playing in bars, pubs, clubs, and corporate events, having performed more than 3,000 shows in different cities in Brazil.
In December 2018, Antunes was robbed and had all of his working equipment stolen, which led him to seek other opportunities in the music industry. He later decided to move to Buenos Aires and create The Tangerine Club with his wife Cynthia Prietsch, a live music channel that streams from their own audio and video studio in their home four times a week to viewers around the world. Since then, the channel has grown in popularity, with an increasingly larger audience and an album released.
