Zhongwei's main attraction is Gao Miao, a temple that has hosted [[Confucian]], [[Buddhist]], and [[Taoist]] ceremonies. A bomb shelter was also built beneath the temple during the [[Cultural Revolution]]. It has since been converted into a rendition of a Buddhist hell.<ref>
