Prêmio NAS de Engenharia Aeronáutica

O Prêmio NAS de Engenharia Aeronáutica (em inglês: NAS Award in Aeronautical Engineering) também designado (em inglês: J. C. Hunsaker Award in Aeronautical Engineering) é concedido pela Academia Nacional de Ciências dos Estados Unidos "por excelência na área da engenharia aeronáutica." Estabelecido por Jerome Clarke Hunsaker e sua mulher, foi concedido a primeira vez em 1968.

  • 1995 William R. Sears For his significant and enduring contributions to education, aerodynamics, and aircraft design, including the optimal Sears-Haack body and the original Northrop flying wing.
  • 2000 Richard Whitcomb For his pioneering contributions to the aerodynamic design of high performance aircraft.
  • 2005 Burt Rutan For leadership in engineering design and construction of SpaceShipOne, Voyager, and other successful experimental aircraft.
  • 2010 Norman Ralph Augustine For his service to the nation as a dedicated aeronautical engineer, a leader in the aerospace defense industry, a public servant, a civic leader, and a thought leader in the engineering profession.
