Using Tifinagh script editar

Tifinagh script is part of Unicode and should be used for typing Tifinagh text like the word "ⵜⴰⵎⴰⵥⵉⵖⵜ", if the word doesn't appear correctly in your system the it lacks proper font, The same is common with east Asian scripts but no Wikipedia put images instead of Chinese text. --خالد حسني (discussão) 16h24min de 1 de Dezembro de 2008 (UTC)

You have to be kidding in order to compare the use of Chinese fonts and Tifinagh ones. I am willing to bet that almost no one in the Portuguese-speaking world has a Tifinagh font installed; do you really want to force them all to see weird characters and download a new font that they will never use for a mere whim of yours? Please behave and stop reverting other people's edits. If you don't speak, write or understand Portuguese, perhaps you should consider editing in other versions of Wikipedia instead of this one - or at least try to adjust to the standards and usages we practice around here... And my default windows install has no Chinese nor Hindi or any other Indic script fonts, and I pet that no one in portuguese-speaking world has a Bengali or Malayalam font, the same is my default Ubuntu install but it has a Tifinagh font. You can simply do as other wikipedias do and but a box that say this page needs a special font and direct to a help page that list those special fonts and how to get free fonts with such support. If the user doesn't have the right font then he mostly can't read it any way. I'd understand using such image in a page talking about Tifinagh script, since the shape of each letter there is an essential information that we might like to make system indepedant, but I don't understand it in an article citing a Tifinagh word. Will any other Tifinagh word treated in a such in-accessible cumbersome way?. Will your last sentence mean that non-Portuguese speakers aren't welcomed here? They're certainly not welcome if they want to engage in edit wars. RafaAzevedo msg 13h16min de 2 de Dezembro de 2008 (UTC)
