Function Details: this interwiki bot is starting mostly from the Wikipedia of Ripuarian languages. It is usually run manually assisted. If I can, I solve interwiki link conflicts. When I do not understand the language, or cannot decide, I give up. Rarely, when having inspected and solved interwiki conflicts with a huge number of pages involved, I let the bot make the neccessary predetermined updates in automatic mode. I have plans to make a web page on the toolserver where people can leave hints as how to solve specific interwiki conflicts.

Discussion editar

It's impossible to flag this bot account, notice that it's compulsory to have in the bot account the expression “bot” or “robô”. --Leonardo Stabile msg 07h26min de 13 de Fevereiro de 2008 (UTC)

I am sorry, the name had already been chosen and is registered in more than 200 Wikipedias with a space (or underscore) inside the letters "BOT", which is owed to a pronunciation peculiarity of the language it comes from. Had I known in advance that, in Portuguese, this is not understood as bot, I had most certainly choosen a different name. Now, neither renaming all other accounts (having already made several tens of thousands of edits) nor choosing a different name for one just wiki appears to me an option. I can only pledge to look a the name lexically, i.e. ignore case and space, in which case it ends in the characters bot. Can you follow this idea and let the name pass? --Purodha Blissenbach (discussão) 02h41min de 19 de Fevereiro de 2008 (UTC)
It's consensual among the community that the name must have this clear indication, I'm afraid we cannot make exceptions. See, since 2006 we only had one other case of the same problem, and the decision was the same. I can only suggest you to ask for a bot account name change at Wikipedia:Pedidos a burocratas by adding {{subst:Renomear|Purbo T|new bot name|Nome impróprio para bot, ver discussão em [[Wikipedia:Robôs/Pedidos de aprovação/Purbo T]]}} ~~~~.
