Lista de campeões da segunda divisão inglesa

A segunda divisão do futebol inglês começou em 1892-93 com o nome de Second Division. Em 1992, com a mudança do nome da primeira divisão de First Division para Premier League a segunda divisão adotou o nome de First Division. Desde 2004 ela passou a ser conhecida como Football League Championship.[1]

  1. O Charlton Athetic não foi necessariamente promovido, ele já disputava a 1ª divisão no ano anterior, onde terminou em 19º (o primeiro time fora da Zona de Rebaixamento) mas o Playoff daquele ano foi atípico, onde Charlton Athletic teve que disputar sua permanência em um Playoff contra o 3º, 4º e 5º da Segunda Divisão (Oldham Athetic, Leeds United e Ipswich Town, respectivamente), caso perdesse seria o 4º time rebaixado naquele ano, mas conseguiu vencer, o que garantiu sua permanência na 1ª divisão).
